Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Power Platform certification path?
The path starts with PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals), then branches by specialty: PL-300 for Power BI data analysis, PL-400 for Power Platform development, or a Dynamics 365 functional consultant / developer exam (MB-230, MB-310, MB-330, MB-500, MB-800, MB-820) depending on the business application area.
Do I need PL-900 before PL-300?
PL-900 is not a formal prerequisite for PL-300, but it helps if you are new to the Power Platform ecosystem. If you already build reports and data models in Power BI, you can go straight to PL-300.
